momi lalay's baby isha.

it was baby isha's baptism yesterday (St. Paul church, Timog). bob & i were late, humabol lang sa reception..y?house prob at bob's. i can't leave him naman, i choose not to. so, there(Max's Sct Tuazon)..when we got there, SeC Family was almost complete. lei, aiko, z, toff, bing, rain, pao, gelo, shine were in one table. sinalubong kami ni kalay..gash!i missed this girl!!!kissed tito and tita then we met baby isha, sleeping.

im so proud of my momi kalay. she's a strong girl...no, i guess she deserves to be called a woman now. she went through a tough time, before-during-after the pregnancy..emotionally & physically. being a single mom is never easy, especially in this lifetime. no matter how you put it, one must be mature, hadworking & wise. i guess my momi kalay has all these now...

as we said goodbye after the party, tita suddenly cried. she brokedown giving us hugs and thank yous for taking care of kalay..we'll always do. kalay, and baby isha are big part of our lives...

lay?thanks so much for being an inspiration, you are a real woman..mwah!i'll always love you!!

call-out.

was on my 6th training day today. the first week turned out great. we had endless role playing of the possible conversations, lectures on the process and buddy-ups with the agents on actual calls. im glad we're not selling accounts over the phone. we basically investigate Citibank Australia credit card applications. our official title is PHONE VERIFICATIONS OFFICER. literally, we verify client/emplioyment details of the applicants from authorized sources, such as their payroll, manager, or accountant.

i did my first call-out (monitored by the class & trainor) today. i was so nervous before putting on my headset and dialling the number. gladly, i made a good call and pushed it to CP or credit preview for approval. our qouta is 25 CPs a day, seems doable once to really get used to the process, with zero errors. after the call, i realized that it wasnt that bad. anyways, i did all my booking confirmation on the phone so why be extra nervous here, right? just like in booking, nakaka-lost sa umpisa but pag-nasa system mo na yung process..steady na. =)

at this point, im slowly taking my chances on this field...but still dreaming of my prod dream....

thanks for the prayers.... =)

job hunter

after a week of leaving CalCarrie's, i started my job hunting. i emailed my resumes, did walk-ins. i took a chance in different kinds of fields. wala na akong pinipili ngayon. i mean, my priority is to save up then further on to production. sobrang na-mimiss ko talaga ang production, its my life! but i have to re-consider my options now. i considered food and IT industries. hay. big big decisions!

fortunately, i got passed with my interviews. i was close to being a barista..and a phone banker, then eventually i signed a contract with Citigroup-Crescent Services (Philippines), Inc. i'm with the Credit Operations department, Australia group. i'll be starting tomorrow.

to learn more about my new work, here's an article from.. http://www.citibank.com/citigroup/press/2004/data/040921d.htm
Philippines: Citigroup Strengthens Country Presence by Opening Business Outsourcing Operations

Move to generate fresh employment opportunities and attract valuable foreign exchange through earnings from Citigroup businesses globally

Citigroup, the world’s largest financial services organization, further strengthened its presence in the country with the opening of a Business Process Outsourcing Center in the Philippines.

Wholly-owned subsidiary Crescent Services Pte. Limited will provide business process outsourcing, call-center, and other IT and IT-enabled services to Consumer Group operations of various Citibank and Citigroup entities around the globe.

Crescent Services is expected to add significant fresh employment opportunities to the country as well as bring in valuable foreign exchange through its foreign currency earnings from Citigroup businesses globally.

Incorporated in Singapore, Crescent Services opened its first operational branch in Makati, after securing approvals from the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Phil. Economic Zone Authority and Bureau of Internal Revenue.

In its first phase of operations, Crescent Services will have a capacity for 450 seats, boasting of state-of-the-art technology using the latest in voice telephony. Its offices are also equipped with top-of-the-line training resources.

According to Citibank Philippines Country Business Manager for Global Consumer Group Nina Aguas, the Philippines has always been an important business hub for Citigroup, where it has been a key industry player for the last 102 years: “Crescent Services represents our latest investment in the country, and shows that we are committed to doing business in the Philippines for the long term.”

Anand Chopra, President and CEO of Crescent Services, said the Philippines was a natural choice: “Citigroup was keen to establish a regional business process outsourcing and call-center facility, because of the key advantages that the country offers, such as the large availability of a highly-educated and English-speaking work-force and robust infrastructure.”

He further added that the establishment of a business process outsourcing subsidiary is an integral part of Citigroup’s overall business strategy to create global Centers of Excellence that provide superior quality and consistent customer experience.

For its first client, Crescent Services is looking at Citibank Australia.

Eventually, the Philippine office will service Citigroup entities around the world by providing business process outsourcing and IT-enabled services like call-centers, credit operations, back-office operations, primarily to the Consumer Group.

fictures

havent gotten my copy from jeanne...but soon, very soon...=p

an angel went back to heaven.

one afternoon, there was a flash report that mayor benhur abalos' daughter died. ok. i didn't mind. but soon after that, bing called me and informed me that ciara passed away already...ciara abalos. turned out, it was her. nagulat ako. tinanong ko agad si carlo.

we met ciara on one of our lunches in glorietta. carlo brought her. all of us had suspicion that carlo will eventually court her. this was late 2004. not too long after, they became a couple. ciara is the type of person that on first meeting will make you instantly feel comfortable to be around her. she's very sweet, outspoken and real. ang sarap nya kausap and not a hint of a "politiko's daughter". she's very pretty too. bing was the topic of that lunch, her forbidden love affair...ciara commented and gave bing advice...speaking from experience. at a young age of 19, pasaway na si ciara, but you can sense a good aura and honest well-being in her. that was the only chance i had with her. i'm thankful i had it.

watching her on the news seemed so unbelievable. her smile on the pictures marked her ideals, dreams and happiness. nalungkot ako lalo wen i heard that it wasn't a natural death.

though i never got close with ciara, i'll miss her. she brought great happiness to carlo. rest in peace, dear...
