realizations on reality bites
it was one lunch break a.k.a. 10am at the pantry, aiko, paula, nikki, crizelle and i were talking about getting into our jobs. "nasa point nako na mag-work to save. tapos na ako sa magtrabaho na gusto ko ginagawa ko. iba na ngayon.", nikki said. i agree with her. i feel exactly the same on getting into citigroup. when connie first mentioned to me about it, the sched, the pay, the people i got encouraged even if it was "call-center" environment. i guess i plunged into it having the "future" and "to save up" just in mind. after signing the contract, nothing went smoothly. i was back to square one. trying to fit in into a new group, being cautious who to trust and actually apply the drawing of line between "workmates" and "friends+workmates". it wasnt easy at all. i had times when i didn't like to go to work anymore because the sched was so early, or i didn't like to be with the people im around with or there were too much to learn since it wasn't exactly my field. but one thing that i kept in mind is that its not easy to get into an established company and having all the priveleges we have + getting all the sched for my prod dreams. well, and yes, it's going to help me a lot into projecting the future. sometimes, i still feel those negative emotions, getting negative thoughts but hell...who am i to complain right?!
reality sure bites...and if you'll let it get the best of you...you'll just be a quitter all your life. i've been throught that. its time to see things the other way around. i'm not getting any younger anyway...tama si nikki, iba na ngayon...
